About the Project
Oak House was built for a family who wanted a home that would improve with age — a building that would develop patina, absorb memory, and feel more itself in thirty years than it does today. The structure is a hybrid of green oak frame and load-bearing brick. Every piece of joinery was made by a single craftsman in his workshop in Framlingham: the staircase, the kitchen, the library shelving, the window seats.
